From Registration to Recognition
Steps to supporting young people to work towards their Dynamic Youth Award.
Register your Group to deliver the Awards
All groups must register through an Operating Agency. Click here to see who is currently registered to run the Awards in your area.
Introduce the Awards to your Group

Agree a structure for how your Award Group will operate
An Award Group is a meeting of any young people within the group to assess planned and completed challenges. Click here for more details.
Young people complete Challenge Sheets
Young people complete: Step 1 Plan it, Step 2 Do it & Record it and Step 3 Think about what you have achieved.
Peer Assessment is completed
After completion of Step 1 Plan it and after Step 3 Think about what you have achieved, the Award Group will assess planned and completed challenges and sign the Challenge Sheets.
Internal Moderation is completed
External Moderation is completed and certificates sent out
Using the External Moderation Form, your Group sends a list of completed Challenge Sheets to Youth Scotland. Samples of evidence will be requested before providing certification and feedback to the Award Group Worker. Click here for more details on external moderation.
